I'm New Here
Hi, So the GNS430 has an annunciator out for the MSG light. I am wondering if it makes sense to put an audible alarm on it, and connect it thru my audio panel. (Say the unused ADF input?)

That way, whenever I get a MSG it will prompt me on my headset.

Has anyone done this? Or know of a simple device that can be wired in, or do I have to look into building one?

Thanx

I can't speak to your particular setup, but with my GNS480 I was able to gang up the message output with my Skyview's message wire into one of the Unswitched Inputs on a PS Engineering PM3000.
If you don't have an unswitched input available you could need a separate audio mixer to add the message input.

Hi John,

I was hoping to be able to do that, but the MSG out from the GPS is not an audio out, Just meant for a remote light. I "think" I would have to wire it to a tone generator to actually get audio.

Thanks for any help
