Question..
I just installed a GRT system with D10A as a backup EFIS. I have a Garmin GNC300 gps that is wired to the GRT and I have a wire coming out of the 300 that goes to pin 22 on the D10. The gps will talk to the GRT but the Dynon doesn't recognize it. I'm using the Faststack system and have checked the diagram and backprobed the wires and they are correct.
I think the problem is that the Garmin is outputting "aviation" data and the Dynon is looking for NMAE 186 at 4800 baud. (That is the way the Dynon used to read info from my 496)
My question is, is there a way to tell the Dynon what kind of data stream to look for?
Inquiring minds want to know how to get this think talking to each other. Everything else in the whole setup works except for the Dynon. I have the 300, an SL30 and a 496 all talking with each other and the GRT.

This is all covered in the D10 install manual and the Dynon WIKI.

It will work fine when you set it up correctly.

If I get a chance, I will copy the settings here.

From the EFIS menu, enter SETUP >HSI >EFIS_SERIAL; In that menu select the INPUT to be AVIATION and the BAUD RATE to be 9600.

Outstanding

Thanks, I punched that in and it works like a champ. Thanks for the help.

I love this site and all the knowledge that is at our fingertips.
