I was unable to resolve this in the documentation, perhaps someone here knows....

I'm working out which boxes go on my e-bus and I'm thinking I'm going to omit my GNA-240 because I don't need music or intercom if my alt fails, but I am going to put my comm on the e-bus.

So the question is, what happens when my headset is plugged into the GNA-240 and it's off? Does it simply quit working, or does it pass though to the comm1?

Thanks,
schu

From the pilots manual....

....it does like all the rest of the Garmin Audio Panels

"In case power is interrupted or the unit is turned off, a fail-safe circuit connects the Pilot?s headset, microphone, and PTT directly to COM 1 and the fail-safe alert audio, such as an autopilot disconnect tone."

I wonder why I didn't catch that.... Was that in the pilot manual or install manual?

Edit: I see now.... pilot manual. Thanks for pointing it out.
