From table 8-4 in the installation manual the magnetometer (gmu22) should be locatedamin. of 10 ft from servo motors. The mounting kit puts it in the tail of a 9. I'm going with elec. trim. The small servo is much less than 10' from the indicated location. Is this acceptable? If not what are my alternatives? Is there some kind of inulator that can be used?

Hello Ka6dan,

We believe that installing the GMU 44 or GMU 22 magnetometer in the aft deck of an RV-6/7/9, even when equipped with electric trim, has worked fine as long as there are no other electrical devices located in that area.
