Does anyone have a copy or have access to the G3X GMU 44 Location Survey Tool P/N 006-A0240-00 that Garmin calls out in the installation manual for the GMU44? Appearantly, this software allows you to conduct a magnetic survey of the proposed location for the magnetometer using just your laptop and a 14V lab supply. Sounds like a step up from the compass survey and a lot easier than waiting until you have the whole system and associated wiring in a location that turns out to be unfriendly....
