Are the GMA 240 and GMA 340 pin for pin compatible? I am thinking of replacing a 240 with a 340 but only if just a slide in replacement with no additional wiring. So does anybody here know if the Garmin 340 is a slide in replacement for the Garmin 240, minus the 3rd comm option?

G3 Expert says 245 is pin compatible with 240/340. I read this statement to imply that 240/340 are the same pin/rack configuration.

If you are looking for a nice 340 at a good price, I have one for sale on the board. Recently pulled for a 245 installation and yes it was completely compatible, no wiring changes required.
