Since Garmin's GMA 245 audio panel has a cockpit speaker output, anyone have suggestions as to what brand/model worked well for you (or not)? This is just to listen to ATIS before engine start, etc. Garmin lists specs of 4 ohms, 3W max.
Was thinking one of these guys.

I installed a Uniden Trucker's Speaker ($15 at amazon) and it works well. It's small so I could tuck it away in a small, unobtrusive area.anyone have suggestions as to what brand/model worked well for you (or not)?
...we installed this 3.3 inch, 10W, 4 ohm speaker into our RV-7A, and it works great with the GMA 245.

Thanks,

Go to Frys and pick up one of theses. They are pretty cheap. Put a speaker jack in that beautiful panel or out of view and plug it in when you need it. Unless you want something permanent. It comes with a attached cord and 3.5 mm plug.

BTW, I received the parts. Working on wiring it up now. Thank you. Brian
Steve, thanks for that. Where in your -7A did you install it? Cut a hole in the fwd instrument panel bulkhead? Or install it in the main panel with a grille?
Brian, was thinking along those lines at first but since I have my panel ripped out of the airplane at the moment (remember my prototype AC system?) I thought I'd install something permanent ala what Steve used.
