Group,

I really want to wire a 3rd passenger headset into my GMA-240 for a jump seat (no, it's not an RV) but the documentation says it will only drive 4 headsets.

In looking around, headset splitters seem to be available so I'm not sure why this wouldn't work.

So I guess the question is, can this be done? I see that the two passenger headsets are already wired in parallel, what would happen if I wired three in parallel?

Yes, you can wire another one in parallel. PS Engineering does this alot and allows up to four headsets to be wired in parallel. It will affect impedence though which may cause the overall volume in each headset to be reduced. So if their is a volume control, it may have to be increased. You will not hurt anything by wiring another headphone jack in parallel. Just don't tap into a mic jack trying to accomplish the same thing...
