I have a Gretz Heated Pitot tube which requires a 14 gauge wire for power. I also have a Bob Archer wing tip VOR antenna. Can I run the 14 gauge wire for the heated pitot tube in the same grommet as the coaxial cable for the VOR antenna. Will there be interference and noise. Thanks, Dean

Thats how I'm doing it, I posed the same question about a year ago and all that did it had no problems. FWIW, I understand that the sheilding on a wire is there to provide a dedicated ground for that system and not meant to "sheild" the wire from interference. Just my understanding, I'm no expert for sure.

Ok

Yes, it is OK, because the pitot wire is steady constant voltage when on. It is the creation or collapsing (oscillating) of the em field which creates radio waves. If you got any noise at all it would be the instant it was turned on or off.

Yes, the shield wire is also to protect from em interference.
