Another big milestone today. Walt flew down from 52F today to give me another quality control check. After giving me a relatively short to-do list we got down to the business of starting the engine for the first time.

We did some pre-oiling tasks and pulled her out of the hanger. She fired right up on the second crank - what a sweet sound. Ran great, no leaks. Started on the mag only then turned the Lightspeed on. Ran fine on the the LSE Plasma II. The only glitch was no tach signal from the Lightspeed to the MVP-50.

I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I don't have a direct RPM reading from my Lightspeed but I can tell by sound that it is essentially the same as with both mag and Lightspeed working. It has not been a concern in several years.
