Gemini PFD Backup Battery

I really like the simplicity of the Trutrak Gemini PFD. It is a pleasure to use, super easy to install, small lightweight package and great to fly with.

Couple things though:

- Even at full brightness setting during the day it needs to be a bit brighter

- Thinking of installing the backup battery but $250 seems a bit much for a battery. Would like an affordable battery strictly for the PFD that would last about 45-60 with loss of 12V power in an EASY TO INSTALL solution that doesn't require an Electrical Engineering degree.

Thanks,
Oly

There is a cheaper way

There is a guy who makes a holder for two 9 volt batteries and they last for over two hours. I have one in my -10.

I'll find out more and post it here. (I'm waiting for a call).

Best,
