Hi all
Just wondering if anyone can tell me why we dont use gascolators on fuel injected engines is it not needed.

gascolator

Point form:
- gascolator developed to keep water out of carbs
-water sinks to bottom of float bowl and has higher surface tension than fuel
-main jets located in bottom of float bowl
-waters surface tension can block flow of fuel through the main jets

-fuel injection fuel is delivered under pressure. Water won't interrupt the flow. A small amount of water passing through the injection system won't be a problem.

But yet.... I need to install one on my recent IO-320 powered RV-4 import to satisfy the Canadian authorities !!
