Recently my Garmin 396 quit and would not restart. On June 27 the unit was shipped to Garmin for repair. I had hoped to have it back by July 1 for a major weekend flight. Not only did they have the unit returned by July 1, but imagine my suprise when I opened the package and found a freshly refurbished Garmin 496! I have to hand it to Garmin. Their service is excellent!
