Just got my LRU components for G3x suite. I am not familiar with the little connector pins. What crimper tool do I need to complete this suite install with highly reliable results ?

How about the AF8 with the TH-163 Turret? I know it?s really for large AWG (12-24), but I think it would come in really handy in other areas of the build.
As mentioned above, the AFM8 is perfect for all the low-current/signal wiring.
However, I used a number of Deutsch connector for high power connections, and found that the big boy AF8 with turret was perfect for the DT and DTM sized machined contacts.
The best price I found for the positioners is directly from Daniels Manufacturing.

any resolution on this question. Can you use the AF8 for dsubs and high density dsubs used for Garmin installation? If so, what positioners? Can you use the same positions as used in the AFM8?I am all in favour of a good quality tool.
But AF8 can crimp 12-26, while AFM 20-32
So I am going towards AF8, but garmin datasheets states only positioners for AFM8, and I wonder if there are similar to AF8?
My AF8 cannot crimp the smaller high density pins/sockets because the positioning turret doesn’t have the smaller fixtures. If there’s a turret available that would properly position the smaller pins, the crimping dies are adjustable small enough. If someone knows of such a turret, I'd like to know about it.any resolution on this question. Can you use the AF8 for dsubs and high density dsubs used for Garmin installation? A lot of great suggestions here; l'd like to add to this by linking the pages referencing pin crimping in the G3X/G3X Touch Installation Manual (I'm sure you've read them but just in case).Just got my LRU components for G3x suite. Have you found a fixture for the high density pins in a AF8? I also have the AF8 with a TH163 turret and i did some testing on the high density pins but don’t know if it’s a good crimp or not.My AF8 cannot crimp the smaller high density pins/sockets because the positioning turret doesn’t have the smaller fixtures.
