Is there a simulator for the 650 available for download? I had it before on my iPad, but that is no longer an option.
It would be nice to have it on my desktop in my office.

Yup

I'm running the PC version which will simulate a 650. I think I installed from http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=9256.

The App Store still has "Garmin GTN Trainer". Works well for me. You'll have to go into iPad Settings > GTN Trainer > Device Settings > Change Device to change between the 650/750.
