Does anyone know if the Garmin 696 takes the same power cord as the Garmin 496? I have a 496 hard wired and am upgrading to a 696. Trying to save the rewire if they both take the same power cord.

It's different. I previously had a 296 & 496 before the 696.

I Installed a Cigarette Lighter Receptacle

I Installed a Cigarette Lighter Receptacle in my console and plugged the furnished cord in there. It works well and is removable.
