Rick_A Well Known Member May 25, 2009 #1 I been comparing feature/functions of the 496 & 495. The 496 uses a GMA 30A "Smart Antenna" and the 495 uses a GA 26C antenna. Does any one know why they use different antenna and what the functions difference are between the antennas?

J Jimd Well Known Member May 25, 2009 #2 XM I think it is because XM runs on the 496 and NOT 495. I have the 30A with my 496 and xm wx and radio.
