The GNS 430 has a yellow wire out to control the instrument lighting. So does the SL40 and the GTX 327. What do you do with them?
I "assume" that they need to go into a variable resistor or a pulse width modulator. Does that go to the power from there??? Hopefully my ignorant question gets an intelligent answer!! :p

I've found that the auto-dimming feature of these units works very well and there's really no need for the manual dimming.

I'll try that before I mess with it anymore. Stein had hardwired it for dimming so naturally I thought it was a must. Thanks!!

The yellow wires are there as an option that we provide as standard. They are not required as the internal dimming on most of the units works just fine...but some still prefer to have them tied to a dimmer, completely your choice!

Cheers,
Stein
