My 430 Com board went up in smoke this weekend. Anyone know a source for these boards for experimental applications. Garmin will not talk to anyone but a repair station.
Don't think there is another source... it's the 'ole send Garmin a Grand through a repair station and they will take a look at it and give you an estimate.
I think the standard repair from Garmin on the 430 is $800 no matter what's wrong with it. At least that was what mine was 90 days ago. Nav board out, no simple fix so back to Garmin and send them a check!
Didn't like it, but no choice. The 430W really is a super piece of equipment. Wouldn't be without it.
