Is it still possible to update the data cards in the 300XL? I was told from one source that map updates were no longer available. If this is true does that suggest the unit can no longer be used for IFR?

I am still using my 300XL current with the Jepp subscription.

The only thing different is that they split up the North American data base because of size. One card will hold either the US or Canada, but not both.

Duane is absolutely correct that the growth of the number of intersections lead to a need to break up the database into multiple areas to keep from exceeding the capability of the 300XL.

One additional clarification. The Canada database actually covers both Canada and the Northern U.S. to make it more convenient for those that live near the border and travel in both areas.
