I was starting to rivet the flap hinge to the trailing edge of the wing... somehow a gap has appeared between the bracket and the trailing edge of the wing skin. There is however no gap between the hinge and the bracket. The gap gets as large as .01"... I may not have countersunk the bracket enough although I did check for proper depth of each (and EVERY) hole... my question is... do I need to remove all these rivets and countersink further? Is a very slight gap allowed (although no where near ideal) between the bracket and skin? My inclination is no... but I'm hoping I don't have to remove the entire bracket to fix it.
