I'm sure it's in the documentation, but sure not easy to figure out:

If I use the G5 (without G3X) to drive the autopilot servos using input from GTN 625, will it fly a coupled LPV to minimums, or just horizontal steering?

This combination of equipment would allow you to fly fully coupled LPV approaches with both lateral and vertical guidance. You would need a GMC 507 autopilot controller to make autopilot mode selections, and a GAD 29 would be required to interface the GTN 625 to the G5.

Thanks for the clarifications!

If I understand the protocols correctly, with this setup the GTN would not be able to "send" frequencies to a GTR 200? Need G3X for that?
