Heads up on something that took me a while to realize on my G3X Touch with GDL 39R.
For a long time the NEXRAD overlay on the MAP page is very messy compared to what I see in ForeFlight, almost to the point of being unusable.
On my last flight, I finally realized that what is happening is that the Regional High Resolution feed is being overlaid on-top of the CONUS feed (Combined mode). Ugh.
If you go into the WX page, and select Regional you will see the higher resolution feed.
I emailed G3X support to suggest that they either allow the option to toggle between Conus/Regional/Combined on the MAP page (as you can on the WX page), OR do what ForeFlight does and don't render the CONUS feed when regional is available.
