Had my transponder and IFR pitot static certifications last weekend. The technician literally started laughing at the accuracy; said "it's ridiculous that we even need to check these solid state devices these days." The system was within 2' the entire range of the altimeter setting and from SL up to 20,000 ft.

Dual G3X, remote mount GTX23ES transponder, safeair pitot static system, Dynon heated pitot.

Electronic pressure sensors are not immune to errors and drift, I've had to calibrate a few G1000's and Aspen units that would not meet spec, haven't run into an out of limits G3X yet but they are still pretty new.

The sensors in my test box are 10 times as accurate as any air data unit and I still have to have it calibrated each year, it does drift a little (but very little).

My G3X test was the same, dead on everywhere. The Dynon D6 didn't track quite as well, but it was within limits.
