I'm trying to customize the alert ranges (yellow/red/invisible+alert) for some engine gauges and I'm having a problem. I think I might be missing something.
Take my tachometer for example. I'd like a red line and an alert above that at 2700 rpm. I can put the red+alert from 2700-2800. And the gauge would have an overall range of 400-2800. But I can't put a red+alert that goes from 2700 to [max sensor value] without extending the tachometer range to [max sensor value]. What I'm afraid would happen is the alert would go away if my rpm exceeds 2800.
I have a similar issue for other gauges.
I see that if I increase the gauge range, I increase the available color arc ranges. But when I set them back, the color arc is also constrained.
