The default settlings are as close to perfect out of the box as you’ll find.

I just did this. I would recommend you use the Installation manual. It is free on the Garmin website. The AV addition is the latest. It walks you through this process it is pretty simple but it will be slightly different from plane to plane depending how long your control stick is etc.... Anyway, it explains the settings and what they do. Start in Section 30.4.10.2 page 555. I think you will be safer and happier if you use this method. It is a great system enjoy.
