This may have been posted before - I don't remember. Sorry if so.

RNAV Runway 16 approach at KPSE. I didn't know federal employees were allowed to have a sense of humor - this guy sure did.

Fly in from the west and notice the fix names from the IAF all the way to the MAF.

I'm sure they fired him! :)

Check the Bunni Two Arrival to Atlanta's Fulton County. From the northwest you will frequently be cleared for the Dumbb Bunni arrival. Huhhh? :D

I Thought I saw a Puddy Tat

The Pease (kpse) approach made it to the front page of the Wall Street Journal. The FAA put some thought into the approach because it is one of the first GPS approaches. I Thought I saw a Puddy Tat. I Did I Did!

Fast day fly-in April 15th
AHYUP.com :)

I Scream for Ice Cream!

Locals around these parts all know about the ice cream that comes from "the best little creamery in Texas"... take a look at the Blue Bell Two arrival into the Houston area...passes right over Brenham, the home of the "Happiest Cows on earth"...and has some appropriate intersections!

(More Blue Bell Ice Cream has flown in space than all that freeze-dried stuff, I can tell you that!)

Here's a few more;

Hungry? Try the ILS 1R at Kansas City Int'l. Mmm, ribs...

If you like guitars and long hair, the ILS 22R at Detroit Metro makes note of Mr Ted Nugent.

And if you think New Yorkers don't have a sense of humor, try the ILSs for both 4L and 4R at Newark; check the FAF at each, read 4L first, then 4R. How you doin'??

Approach Fix Names

In this same vain, there is a fix on an approach to TPA (Tampa, FL) labeled
JMBOB. As I understand it, this fix was named after a very well like controller whose name was Jimbob. JMBOB had ALS (Lou Gerhic's).

I was flying over Lancaster,CA yesterday and noticed that "Rosie" has an intersection named after him.

From Rosie: "Not only is it named Rosie, it's next to my homebase airport, Rosamond (L00), CA!"

Kizurazou Departure.

South Bound out of Tokyo Narita we always got a "Kizurazou Departure."
I always read back "Kiss Your A***Hole Departure."
ATC always came back; "Ree baa Correct."
