I am about to close up my second tank and while making a final inspection, I noticed a couple of rib rivets that just didn't look quite right (a leaner and one that appears to be missing the shop head ). My thinking is to drill these prosealed rivets out, drive a replacement rivet and apply proseal. As both are on the bottom of the tank (same rib no less), is this solution an acceptable repair method? Any suggestions for minimizing the drill shavings from inside the tank?

Thanks,

I would just drill out the bad rivets and install the new ones 'wet' and then encapsulate the shop heads. As for keeping the savings out of the tank: once the pro-seal (flammaster) has cured, a microfiber towel picks up skavings pretty well. Just set the tank on a table bad rivet up and put a towel on the opposite side so the shavings fall down. Should be fine.
