I have just finished my first fuel tank. I was pretty happy with the result until I leak checked it. It was leaking. I found that the leak was coming through the co-ax connector that I installed as part of the capaticance kit. I put two layers of heatshrink and covered the entire connecter with sealant and it still leaks!!!!
Did anyone else have this problem? How did you overcome it?
I have considered buying hermatically sealed connectors but the only place I found that sell them has a minium order of several hundred dollars.
 
After I got my plane together I noticed a very small leak at the co-ax on one of my tanks. I packed the connector with fuel lube and then put the B&C connector on. 230 hours later and no more leaks.

My brother found the same leak in his RV-7A tank at the bnc connector. We removed the access plate and resealed the inboard side of the connector. It looked like the air was travelling up the wire to the connector pin. We re-tested and everything was ok after that.
