I filled my tanks for the first time today. I have a dynon and float type senders.
I used the dynon calibration procedure, adding about 2 gal at a time as directed.
Filled the left tank (about 18 gal), but after completion the dynon gauge only seems to show 15 gal.
During calibration of right tank, the sender value stopped changing after about 14 gal (sender value about 72)
and after completion the dynon gauge only shows 14 gal.
Anyone else encountered this?

The fuel senders are in the inboard end of the tank. When they reach the top, fuel continues to flow into the tank filling the outboard end. Because of the dihedral, the sender never sees the last 3-4 gallons.

Yep,

Like Mel sez, this is just the way it is. Has nothing to do with Dynon, it is a limitation on the sender and where it is located in the tank.

The capacitive ones can show closer to the top due to where the outboard plate is located.

Fuel Hawk Universal

Also use a Fuel Hawk Universal fuel guage.

I calibrated my tanks with that. I have the measurements
on these if anyone needs it.
In 1 gallon ticks.

FYI---read 000 till it went to 6 gallons on the fuel hawk, or the
tank was still dry when you looked in there.
