Good afternoon!

I have a quick question that maybe some of you nice people can help with.

To those of you who have omitted the Vans Cork Seal in favor of using sealed the Fuel Tank Access Plate with Fuel Tank Sealant, how did you prepare the surfaces?

Specifically, I would like know if you all did the usual ?scuff? job on the metal (as is done with the inside of the Fuel Tank Skins and the Flanges on the Fuel Tank Ribs)?

Or is it better to leave the Fuel Tank Access Plate smooth in order to make is easier to remove the Fuel Tank Sealant in the future?

Scuff it lightly and clean with acetone or lacquer thinner.
