Thanks Sam

Sam:

Thanks for starting a thread on this. There have been several threads by RV-12 owners experiencing problems with the mechanical pump and/or overpressure readings. Since the -12 does have an electric pump upstream of the mechanical pump, this SAIB could be very applicable. I will be interested in seeing what Van's assessment is.

I added a switch for the electric fuel pump. I just don't like having it running all the time and the SB supports my caution. It's a good thing to be able to shut it off. There is no need to have two fuel pumps running at the same time, all the time.

Fuel Pump

Simple Check of your Serial Number will show if this applies to your Engine. It does not apply to mine which is S/N 5652556.

I picked up my engine kit on April 21st. I checked today and the engine is serial number 6775768 and the fuel pmp part number is 892546. So, if the serial numbers run in ascending order, as they logicallly would, any engine after April shouldn't have a problem.
