Ok, so I have to admit I no hardly anything about engines. I am going to take the engine off the mount next weekend. I did not install the oil pressure fitting properly and need to redo it. While I'm at it, I want to do three other operatons - put a heat shroud on the fuel pump, install a 90 degree oil filter assembly and spacer and install an auxilary alternator on the vacuum pad. Questions I have;
Fuel pump - this is a new Lycoming O-360. Do I need a new gasket or can I use the exiting one? If new, where do I find one qucikly?
All other: Gaskets? Installed dry or with some addtional sealent. What is the rule here when installing gaskets and does it change depending on the item under consideration?
