I now have 7 hours on my RV7a and am trying to fix a slow fuel leak at the valve. The leak is where the fuel goes from the valve to the pump. I have taken the fitting off once, put on new thread seal, and reinstalled. That slowed the leak down a little, but fuel is still seeping. I have a aluminum fitting in the Van's brass valve and wonder is that is a problem. Any suggestions? thanks

Is the leak at the pipe thread or the flare fitting. If it's the pipe thread, try Permatex form-a-gasket. If it's the flare, first check to be sure that both the male and female flares are smooth and not scratched. If everything looks good try putting a small drop of Locktite on the flare.
I've been following this procedure for over 35 years and never experience leaks.

...or use some Fuel Lube.

I have found that Fuel Lube works too; for both pipe fitting threads or flare fitting leaks, oil or fuel. Just another alternative to try. A little dab will do ya.
