I have EI guage with Van's capacitance plates in the tanks --------

Earlier this summer I thought my EI guage had malfunctioned, so I sent it back to factory for them to check. Nothing was amiss. So I just recalibrated my guage.

Something has definately changed in the auto gas near Atlanta this summer.

Could be the alcohol , could be Summer Blend additives

I would have thought we were getting some acohol for over a year or so in auto fuel, but maybe not.

I have been burning auto gas almost exclusively since 2004 and the av gas and auto gas were interchangeble with regard to capacitance plate calibration. Never was there a problem.

But lately its has changed by a factor of TWO.

I went back to av gas yesterday after recalibrating the guage to auto gas. Now I am reading half as much fuel as is actually in the tanks.

before taking off yesterday I had 6 in each tank both with 'stick' and on the guages. I fly to local aprt and put 12 in each tank making a total of 18 in each tank, physically.

Guages read 9 in each.
