With the complex center stack panels in many RV-10s has anyone considered a belly access panel to service the fuel filter? I realize the center stack would have to be removable but with some difficulty.

Yes it is a problem!!! I made a door on the right side of the tunnel, after the fact!!!! I had to get to my fuel flow because it didn't work. It would have been so much easier had I installed a door before hand. I personally would not access from below.

The door in the side makes alot of sense. I think I will do that when the time comes. It sure is a pain to take Lancairs center console in and out.

My initial thought would be to mount the filter on the side of the tunnel and make an access panel through the tunnel from the bottom.... any thoughts?

Possable source for CO to get into the cabin.

How about splitting the top cover of the tunnel to make it easier to remove.
Leave the front section in place, just remove the part covering the fuel pump and filter area.
