All you gotta do is join us at the Wetumpka Airport (08A), Saturday May 5th, with your airplane. Pilots and crew who fly into our happy little airport gathering will enjoy a free lunch, and our airport sponsor (City of Wetumpka) will sell you fuel at dead cost. Don't know just how cheap that is right now, but for sure it is a heck of a lot cheaper than you paid at S&F.....and you don't need to buy no stinking wristband either.
Seriously, the event is a city-sponsored fly-in and open house, with the sole goal of promoting airport support among the area's general public. The City wants to show off the airport, and to be blunt, your attendance gives the folks something to look at. It is good to have this sort of city support for a GA/sport airport. Fire up your bird and help us out, and have a good time too.
Wetumpka (08A) is just north of Montgomery, Alabama, 9-27 paved, 18-36 grass, no field closures, no FAA. Young Eagles flights and formation fly-by groups are expected, so let's keep those eyes outside.
