I have a 55 gallon drum of Shell Diala S2 ZX-A oil that came with the kit I purchased. I have no intention of installing a smoke system. This drum appears to be unopened, but it displays a date of 2013. I don't know what this might be worth, so if you're interested, feel free to make an offer. I'm located in MA.

Not exactly smoke oil.
But I can see where it might be a substitute. However I've been led to believe that aviation smoke oil is formulated to be less harmful to the environment and also to produce bright white smoke.
Right now it's about twice as expensive as aviation smoke oil, so I doubt anyone would buy it for that purpose. ($1200 vs $600 for 55 gal drum)

Smoke oil is mineral oil. Sometimes you find surplus higher grade medical or veterinary types for a bargain price.

30 years ago my hangar mate worked for an electrical utility and could get non PCB transformer drain oil for free. It was so clear you could see a quarter laying on the bottom of a full 55 gallon drum and tell if it was heads up! We used it in our aerobatic planes, good stuff and the price was right!
