I've got an RV-7A Tip Up. Time to make the windscreen fairing. The plexi comes down close enough to the top skin that I don't think I need to install clips to hold the front canopy down. My question is should I fill the gap between the canopy and top skin with flox or micro before laying down the fiberglass strips? What do others do?

There is a Scott McDaniels video out there that shows you how they do it at the factory. I would look on Van's web site for it. Good starting point!

Otherwise, yes, I would use the slurry before laying up the glass strips.
