Working on the fuel lines now...

Anyone have a flying RV8 (carb) and a flo scan transducer located PRIOR to the FACET boost pump inside the gear tower?

Previous posts on this topic have as many opinions as the FP vs C/S discussion :) . There are long straight lines in my proposed location, plus I'd like to keep the FWF as clean as possible.

Thoughts?

Thanks as always...this forum is a great resource (and sometimes entertaining)!

I have a 6A, and it's just after the facet pump. It works excellent, and only shows a higher flow rate when the facet pump is on. At least I didn't have to mount it FWF to get accurate results. It's been amazingly close in total fuel use, without any adjustment to the gauge.

Mine is between the selector valve and the boost pump. Been working great there for over 16 years.
I've seen them mounted just about every where you can imagine, and they seem to work no matter what.

Only after many hours on my 9A did I notice that I mounted my flow scan transducer on it's side. This is supposed to be a big no-no from posts I have read.
Mine is between the gascolater and the carb, and works like a champ.

2 cents.....
