trying to get my flip flop com switch from my infinity grip, right china hat working. i have called garmin expert three times with no success. i have wired the hat to in discrete 4 on gea 24 (j244) pin 43 and out on pin 45 to com discrete 1 (pin 2). i have the com set up on config page to flip flop on with discrete 1 ( and 2 for that matter) . i can see the active/inactive change when i move the switch on the config page. i also see discrete 4 activate on the g3x main screen when i try it. but nothing happens with the frequencies. anyone have any wisdom ?

Maybe I’m missing something fundamental but I don’t see what the GEA has to do with it.
If you want to enable com swap on the GTR 20 you just wire one side of whatever switch you’re using to disc 1 on J2001 on the GTR and the other side of the switch to ground.
Configure GTR as appropriate via the G3X.
