I just replaced the failed Flightcom 403 intercom in my RV-12. Much to my surprise when I removed the intercom on the top it said model "403 VANS". The new intercom from Flightcom just said model "403".
Any idea what the difference is and if they are interchangeable? I notice that the 403 sold by Vans is $50 more expensive ($250) than what you can get it for from other outlets.
