R rwarre Well Known Member Oct 2, 2012 #1 Planning a flight from Colorado to Indiana which will take me through KC airspace. If I file IFR would it be better to plot the course to VOR North of KC or take my chances ATC will let me go through the airspace?

Ron Lee Well Known Member Oct 2, 2012 #3 The top of KC Class Bravo is 8000 feet from my chart. I would probably be at 11,500 feet. Fly over it using flight following so you can play nice with arriving/departing commercial traffic.
