Does anybody know if there are non tso'd panels with flight directors? I have a G3X system and I'm curious why these don't have them. All the planes I fly for a living have them, including the similar G1000.

Sure - the GRT has had a Flight Director for quite a few years. You can use it or not - your choice.

Advanced Flight has them as well

If you look at AFS, they have them as well and it appears to be very detailed.

The TruTrak EFIS SG has a flight director also.

I have now flown about 45 hours behinds a AFS 4500 with a flight director display. It works just as in a larger aircraft. I did find I needed to cut down the FD pitch sensitivity to its minimum value.

So has any larger MGL EFIS. It's part of the autopilot really - in a sense it is the system using the pilot as servos...
