I'm currently skinning my flaperons and am not happy how the nose skins fit over the nose ribs. Especially the ribs supporting the counterbalance pipes. Riveting caused flat spots. For those of you ahead of me, my question is when you riveted the middle nose skin to the outboard, did you push the skins down so they lay on the rib or just rivet it loosely to preserve the smooth curve in the skin?

I fitted some small packers between the rib and the skin in a few places to avoid creating flat spots.
