$10 buys you a Van's Rv-12 KAI memory flash stick, with all the plans and schematics on it, when building. It will have on it what you're looking for. Other option is find a local RV-12 that's going under an inspection annual, and ask to take a look when everything is opened up.
I agree the Kit Assembly Instructions do a fantastic job of showing exactly how it works.
I’d also suggest looking at build logs from the many talented builders on vansairforce.net or search with google for a popular build log software. And google should also reveal builder videos too.
