Question for those with electric flaps. Does your flap torque tube have two, or four, nylon supports?
I pulled mine to convert to manual flaps after my motor / actuator failed. I'm leaving in the switch, wiring, CB, linkage, etc. to easily convert back if wanted.
The flap tube was supported by nylon blocks at each end, and another nylon block at each side of the center tunnel. The plans for manual flaps show only the outboard blocks.
Are the inboard blocks part of the electric flap upgrade? If not, can anyone think of a reason that they would be installed on my plane? Any reason to not remove them from the system?
Thanks,
