Trying to trim out the flaps where they meet the airframe, I have the old style with fiberglass leading edge cover then metal trim along the wing. Where the issues is, do I use the metal trim to continue over the flaps, I have already trimmed the trim to the trailing edge of the win and I am planning on fitting the scrap to cover the flaps.

Does this make sense?

Not necessarily

..an issue. Our -6 had the wing root fairing stop at the trailing edge on the top skin but our flaps were fitted really close...like 1/8" from the fuselage.

Flap Fairing

What I did was cut the main fairing right at the trailing edge of the wing, and cut another piece to match the flap. I tapered the piece for the flap and it looks much better.
