On our RV-10 we have only one place that the flaps can be activated - a small switch on the pilot's control stick. Knowing how mechanical switches sometimes fail I want to have a backup method for engaging the flaps.
When I go on the VPX screen on the G3X there's a place I can engage the flaps, but it's not tied to the pre-programmed flap positions that are activated by the switch on the control stick. The flaps run continuously up or down for as long as I press the button. I want to add a touch screen button somewhere that will engage the flaps just as they would if I was using the mechanical switch. Preferably on the main screen, but I will settle for anywhere easily accessible. Anybody know how to do this?
