Any advice as to an easy way to squeeze the rivets attaching the forward nutplate that holds the forward bolt of the bearing block? I've not had much success grinding down a vicegrip!

Kai

I didn't either; I just ruined a Vice-Grip trying. I drove the rivet using an offset rivet set -- no big deal.

Any chance!

I assume you used a flush offset rivet set.....any chance I can sneak over from Salem and borrow it!

Re: Any Chance!

Absolutely! I would be pleased to loan it to you. Email with details sent.

Yes, it's a flush offset set. I have a double-offset but alas, not in a flush set.

Flap bearing block nutplates

Try some Nut-Plate rivets -CCR264-3-? (depending on grip length required). They are listed on page 217 of Genuine Aircraft Hardware Co. latest catalog. Phone - *888-247-2738. They work very well in thos hard to get to places.
